Privacy Policy

Last updated November 3, 2026

This policy covers the Tech SEO Connect conference app at app.techseoconnect.com ("the app"), run by Tech SEO Connect ("we"). It explains what the app collects, why, who it's shared with, and the choices you have. The conference website, techseoconnect.com, and ticketing through Luma have their own policies.

What the app collects

If you sign in

Sign-in is optional and is handled by Clerk, with Google or your email address. We receive your name, email address, profile photo and when you signed up and last signed in. You can use the schedule, places and sponsors without signing in.

Saved talks and places

Talks and places you save with the heart are kept in your browser. If you're signed in, they're also kept with your account, so they're on every device you sign in on.

Meet

Meet is optional. If you join, you give a name, a title, up to three topics and, if you like, a link to your LinkedIn profile. Your answers and your profile photo are shown to other signed-in attendees who have joined Meet, so people who share your topics can find you and message you on LinkedIn. Your topics can't be changed once saved. If you leave Meet, your answers are deleted and no longer shown; we keep only which topics you picked, so they stay the same if you join again.

How the app is used

The app keeps a log of what happens in it, so the organizers can see which talks and places are popular and how the app is used: the pages you open and the things you tap (saving, directions, opening a place or a Meet topic, tapping a LinkedIn link), with the time, a random ID kept in your browser to tell devices apart, and your account ID if you're signed in. The same taps, and the pages you open, are also sent to Google Analytics, which uses cookies to count visits. See how Google uses this information.

Check-in at the door

To check you in, organizers find you on the conference's Luma guest list (your name, email address and ticket) by name, by email or by scanning the QR code on your ticket, and the app records when you were checked in and by whom. To find the right guest, what the organizer typed and the names and email addresses of likely matches are sent to an AI service (Anthropic's Claude through OpenRouter, or Cloudflare Workers AI). If you register at the door, your name and email are added to the event in Luma, which emails you a ticket.

AI assistants

You can connect an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to the app. Once you sign in through the assistant, it can read the schedule, places and sponsors, read and change your saved talks and places, and, if you've joined Meet, see your topics and the attendees who share them. We log which of the app's tools the assistant used and what it searched for. What you type into the assistant is covered by its own provider's policy.

Who it's shared with

We don't sell your information. It's shared only with the services that run the app, for that purpose:

  • Cloudflare hosts the app and its database, and runs Workers AI.
  • Clerk handles sign-in and keeps your account.
  • Luma holds the conference's registrations and tickets.
  • Google provides Google Analytics and the app's fonts.
  • OpenRouter and Anthropic match names at the check-in desk.
  • MapTiler provides the map, from OpenStreetMap data.

The conference organizers can see the list of accounts (names, email addresses, when people joined and last signed in, how many talks and places they've saved and whether they're on Meet), check-ins, and the app's usage. Directions open in Google Maps or Apple Maps, and LinkedIn links open LinkedIn; those services have their own policies.

How long it's kept

We keep this information through the conference and may use the usage log, without your account details, to plan future events. You can ask us to delete your account at any time: we delete it with your saved talks and places and your Meet answers, and remove your account ID from the usage log.

Your choices

  • Use the app without signing in.
  • Leave Meet whenever you like, from the Meet page.
  • Block or clear cookies and site data in your browser.
  • Email us to see, correct or delete your information.

Children

The app is for conference attendees and isn't meant for children under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
